What Can Go in a Waste Removal Collection?
Before you book a waste removal, it helps to know what can go on the van, what needs checking first and what has to go elsewhere. Here is a plain list from a licensed waste carrier.
Most household and business clear-outs are straightforward: if it is non-hazardous and our team can lift it, it can usually go. A few materials need a quote first because of their weight or handling, and a small number cannot be collected at all.
Items we collect as standard
- Bagged household rubbish, cardboard and packaging
- Furniture: sofas, wardrobes, beds, tables, desks and chairs
- Small appliances and electricals
- Garden cuttings, branches, leaves and old garden furniture
- Office and shop clutter, redundant fittings and general business waste
- Timber offcuts and kitchen or bathroom strip-out
All loading is included, and everything goes to a licensed facility for sorting and recycling. See our waste removal service for how a collection works.
Items that need a quote first
These are fine to include, but we price them individually because of weight or handling:
- Tyres
- Plasterboard
- Rubble
- Soil
- Hardcore
- Pianos
- Safes
- Items above 100 kg
- Large commercial equipment
- Unknown mixed waste
- Loads exceeding 26 cubic yards
Fridges, freezers and mattresses also need specialist handling, so list them in your quote request.
Items we cannot collect
- Paint
- Chemicals
- Gas bottles
- Asbestos
These need specialist disposal. Keep them separate from the rest of your waste so the collection is not delayed.

We collect from eligible addresses within 22 miles of Heald Green (SK8 3AE), including Manchester and Stockport. Get a free quote with a few photos and we will confirm the price and what can go.
