How does booking a collection work?

You enter your postcode, choose the items or a load size, add your property and access details, then pick a collection date and time. You review the full order and pay securely online, and we send you a booking reference.

Can I book a same-day collection?

Same-day collection is subject to availability. Bookings placed before 12:00 noon can be collected the same day where a slot is free, and a £25 same-day surcharge applies. Next-day collection is also available, and you can choose any available future date.

What time will you arrive?

Our normal collection window is 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. A flexible collection anytime within that window is free. You can add a four-hour window for £25 or a two-hour window for £40 during booking, and we send an ETA when we are on our way.

Do you work at weekends and on Bank Holidays?

Yes. Atlas Waste Co. operates seven days a week, including Bank Holidays, and there is no weekend surcharge.

How is my price calculated?

Pricing is based on the volume of waste in cubic yards, starting at £99.99 for up to one cubic yard. Certain items such as fridges and mattresses carry an additional disposal charge, and access factors such as floor level or a long carry may add a surcharge.

Do you add VAT?

No. Atlas Waste Co. is not VAT registered, so the price you see is the price you pay. There is no call-out fee.

Is there a minimum charge?

The minimum instant online booking is £99.99.

What is your cancellation policy?

Accepted Answer

You may cancel up to 48 hours before your collection for a full refund. Cancellations made within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.

Are you a licensed waste carrier?

Yes. Atlas Waste Co. holds Waste Carrier Licence CBDL645216 and every collection is transferred to a permitted facility.

What happens to my waste?

Waste is sorted at a licensed transfer station so that as much as possible is recycled or recovered, with landfill kept to a minimum.

Is there anything you cannot take?

We cannot accept paint, chemicals, gas bottles or asbestos through online booking. Items such as tyres, plasterboard, rubble, soil, hardcore, pianos, safes, anything over 100 kg and large commercial equipment need a tailored quote.

Do I need to be there for the collection?

It helps if someone can confirm what is being taken and give access, but we can arrange collections where items are in an agreed, accessible location. Please tell us during booking.

Do you load everything for me?

Yes. Our team carries out all the loading. Just point out what needs to go and we will do the rest.

Can I book a next-day collection?

Yes. Next-day slots can be selected during booking whenever we have availability, at no extra charge.

Do you really collect seven days a week?

Yes. We collect every day of the week, including weekends and Bank Holidays, between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm. There is no weekend surcharge.

Yes. Choose a four-hour window for £25 or a two-hour window for £40 when you pick your collection date, subject to availability.

Yes. An afternoon slot between 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm carries no additional charge, subject to availability.

How do I know which load size to choose?

Accepted Answer

Load sizes run from up to 1 cubic yard at £99.99 through to 26 cubic yards at £599.99. If you are unsure, list your items during booking and the load size is worked out for you. Loads above 26 cubic yards need a quote.

Are there charges for access?

Accepted Answer

Ground floor collections carry no access charge. First floor is £15, second floor is £20, and third floor or above is £40. A carry of more than 25 metres is £20, and parking restrictions are £20.

What if there is no lift and the items are upstairs?

Accepted Answer

There is no automatic charge simply because a building has no lift. The floor level charge applies as normal, and we will only discuss anything further if the access is excessive.

What do you need for parking?

We need somewhere legal and reasonably close to park the van. If there are permit zones, red routes, barriers or restricted loading, please tell us during booking. A £20 parking restriction charge may apply.

Why do you ask for photographs?

Photographs of your items and the access route help us bring the right van and team, and help confirm your price is accurate before collection day. They are optional but recommended.

What happens with very heavy items?

Items over 100 kg are marked for review and start from £30. Furniture dismantling starts from £25. We confirm anything additional with you before we proceed.

Which items need a quote first?

Tyres, plasterboard, rubble, soil, hardcore, pianos, safes, items above 100 kg, large commercial equipment, unknown mixed waste and loads exceeding 26 cubic yards all need review and a tailored quote.

How do I pay?

Payment is taken securely online at the point of booking. Card details are handled by our payment provider and are never stored by Atlas Waste Co.

How are refunds handled?

Refunds for eligible cancellations are returned to the original payment method. Please allow a few working days for your bank to process the funds.

What if I have extra items on collection day?

Your price is based on the items and collection information selected during booking, so please list everything accurately. Additional or substantially different items may incur an additional charge or may need to be booked separately.

Do you work with businesses?

Yes. We carry out one-off and repeat collections for offices, shops, warehouses, landlords and managing agents, with waste transfer documentation available on request.

We cover Greater Manchester and the surrounding towns, including Stockport, Salford, Trafford, Bolton, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside and Wigan, along with parts of Cheshire.
