How to Prepare for a Rubbish Collection
A few minutes of preparation gets you a more accurate quote and a quicker collection. Here is what to do before our team arrives.
1. Take clear photos of everything going
Photograph each pile or room, including smaller bags and boxes, not just the large furniture. Your quote is based on what needs to go, so complete photos mean a quote you can rely on.
2. Describe the access
Tell us which floor items are on, whether there is a lift, how far the waste is from where the van can park, and any parking restrictions. These details affect the time needed and are included in your quote, so there are no surprises on the day.
3. Separate what you are keeping
Keep belongings you want to keep clearly apart from the waste, or label them. We agree what is going before loading anything.
4. List the special items
Mention fridges, freezers and mattresses individually, as they need specialist handling. Heavy materials such as rubble, soil or plasterboard need a quote first. Not sure what is accepted? Read what can go in a waste removal collection.
5. Check your full postcode
We collect from eligible addresses within 22 miles of Heald Green (SK8 3AE). Check your postcode before requesting a quote.
On the day
Our team loads everything, sweeps up the collection area and takes the waste to a licensed facility for sorting and recycling. We are a licensed waste carrier and can provide a waste transfer note on request.
